NUTRITION AND FOOD

HEALTHY EATING ON A BUDGET

Nutrition plays a huge roll in our overall health. So lets talk about the powerful nature of food and how to improve your health through the food that you eat.

After paying for my house, the next biggest expenses asides my house is food. Even though food expenses seem high at times, my health is a priority so am happy to spend all my money on eating well.because heath isn't something anyone would want to tamper with or take for granted

Malnutrition presents significant threats to human health. Better nutrition is important to everyone including children, infants and adult. It gives stronger immune system, safer pregnancy and childbirth, lower risk of diseases( Diabetes, stroke etc) and longevity.

What happens if a person have too much or little of a nutrient. Nutrients provides nourishment carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins, minerals, water and fiber are all nutrients.if people do not have the right balance of nutrients in their diet, their risk of developing certain health conditions increases

 STEPS ON A BETTER NUTRITION

STEP 1: start everyday with a healthy, balanced breakfast
STEP 2: Up your fiber intake by getting more fiber in your diet  It can help lower cholesterol, helps with weight control or weight loss, regulates blood sugar and promotes a healthy heart and digestive system
STEP 3: Reduce and cut off refined sugar from your diet, avoid products that contain white sugar, corn syrup, high fructose, sucrose, dextrose, fructose, and artificial sweeteners.
STEP 4: Reduce your sodium intake.it can be done by eating more vegetables, cooking at home and drinking more water. Now we can take it a step further by reducing the amount of salt we add to our food.
STEP 5: Reduce the intake of oils and fats
STEP 6: Swap processed food with whole food.I am talking about heavily processed, refined foods here, not packaged foods.
STEP 7: improve hydration by drinking water
STEP 8: Consume lots of vegetables
