HEALTH IS WEALTH

Hi Guys, this week is the final week of our blog. I grew up with this popular notion that health is wealth. Why so?

Health is really paramount This gives large meaning to our life, as health is considered the most valuable and precious for every individual. Good health means not only the absence of disease in the body but a complete physical, mental, social as well as spiritual well-being of an individual.
Someone has correctly said that ‘if health is gone everything is gone’. Life loses interest, in case you are deprived of health. You enjoy neither food nor the world. Even spending time joyfully becomes a big problem. A healthy person (whether rich or poor) lives more happy and peaceful life than any rich person having a diseased body. We can, therefore, say that the real wealth of a man is his health.
Health is not merely the absence of disease and infirmity but a state of complete physical, social and mental well being. Health is thus a level of functional efficiency of living beings and the general condition of a person’s mind, body and spirit, meaning it is free illness, injury and pain. If you are strong and healthy you can be a shining example to others and teach them how to achieve vibrant health.
In order to get good health, people should follow a healthy lifestyle. People who are not involved in the healthy lifestyle may suffer a range of health disorders like overweight, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, kidney problems, liver disorders and so many. An unhealthy body gets tired very easily and a tired body easily loses motivation and self-confidence.
Health is the great blessing of god. Good health is a matter of great concern. To maintain good health, healthy living and a disciplined life is a must. We should take care of our health and for this, we should always take a simple and balanced diet. Exercise is very important for
For attaining a healthy and disease free body cleanliness is very important. Our motto should be to keep our body clean in order to remain healthy. We should also keep our house and our surroundings clean. A clean environment leads to a clean and healthy body. It reduces the risk of catching communicable diseases. And to obtain a clean environment it is the responsibility of the people to inculcate healthy habits.

EVERYDAY LIVING

Hi Guys this week we will base on how to live our everyday life.

Living with a mental health problem can often have an impact on day to day life, making things that others might not think about a bit more difficult. We've put together these tips and guides to help you cope with everyday things like money, work, university and more.

Everyday lifedaily life or routine life comprises the ways in which people typically act, think, and feel on a daily basis. Everyday life may be described as mundane, routine, natural, habitual, or normal
Human diurnality means most people sleep at least part of the night and are active in daytime. Most eat two or three meals in a day. working day (apart from shift work) mostly involves a daily schedule, beginning in the morning. This produces the daily runs hour experienced by many millions, and the drive time focused on by radio broadcasters. Evening is often leisure time. Bathing every day is a custom for many.
Beyond these broad similarities, lifestyles vary and different people spend their days differently.
Nomadic life differs from sedentism, and among the sedentary, urban people live differently from rural folk. Differences in the lives of the rich and the poor, or between factory workers and intellectual, may go beyond their working hours. Many women spend their day in activities greatly different from those of men, and everywhere children do different things than adults.

LIVING A HEALTHY LIFE PART 2

Hello Guys this week we will continue from where we dropped off last week. still on living a healthy life.

According to a recent study, very few adults actually meet the criteria for a healthy lifestyle.

See how well you measure up on the researchers' four keys to healthfulness:
  • Do you smoke?
  • Are you able to maintain a healthy weight (a BMI of 18-25), or are you successful losing weight to attain a healthy weight?
  • Do you eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily?
  • Do you exercise 30 minutes or more, 5 times a week?
The good news is that these behaviors should not be foreign to you, as all but one are an integral part of the Weight Loss Clinic. Numbers 2 through 4 are the foundation of the WLC program, habits that we continually discuss, write about, and recommend.

While those four habits are indisputably important for a healthy lifestyle, some may argue that more factors should be taken into consideration. What would be on your list?

  • Brush and floss daily to keep your teeth and gums healthy and free of disease.
  • Get a good night's rest. Well-rested people not only cope better with stress, but may also have better control of their appetites. Research has shown that a lack of sleep can put our "hunger hormones" out of balance -- and possibly trigger overeating.
  • Enjoy regular family meals. This allows parents to serve as good role models, can promote more nutritious eating, and sets the stage for lively conversations. Being connected to family and/or friends is a powerful aspect of a healthy life.
  • Smile and laugh out loud several times a day. It keeps you grounded, and helps you cope with situations that would otherwise make you crazy. Read the comics, watch a sitcom, or tell jokes to bring out those happy feelings.
  • Meditate, pray, or otherwise find solace for at least 10-20 minutes each day. Contemplation is good for your soul, helps you cope with the demands of daily life, and may even help lower your blood pressure
  • Get a pedometer and let it motivate you to walk, walk, walk. Forget about how many minutes of activity you need; just do everything you can to fit more steps into your day. No matter how you get it, physical activity can help defuse stress, burn calories, and boost self-esteem.
  • Stand up straight. You'll look 5 pounds lighter if you stand tall and tighten your abdominal muscles. Whenever you walk, think "tall and tight" to get the most out of the movement.

LIVING A HEALTHY LIFE

Hello Guys we would be talking about healthy living.

Healthy living" to most people means both physical and mental health are in balance or functioning well together in a person. In many instances, physical and mental health are closely linked, so that a change (good or bad) in one directly affects the other. Consequently, some of the tips will include suggestions for emotional and mental "healthy living.

Quit Smoking

  • Set a date for quitting. If possible, plan to have a friend quit smoking with you. It's best to pick a day within the next month. A date too far off in the future will give you a chance to procrastinate and postpone, while a date too soon may not allow you to make a plan for medications or support systems.
  • Notice when and why you smoke. Try to find the things in your daily life that you often do while smoking (such as drinking your morning cup of coffee or driving a car).
Healthy Eating (Diet and Nutrition)
  • All humans have to eat food for growth and maintenance of a healthy body, but we humans have different nutrition requirements as infants, children (kids), teenagers, young adults, adults, and seniors. For example, infants may require feeding every 4 hours until they gradually age and begin to take in more solid foods. Eventually they develop into the more normal pattern of eating three times per day as young kids. However, as most parents know, kids, teenagers, and young adults often snack between meals. Snacking is often not limited to these age groups because adults and seniors often do the same.
  • Eat three healthy meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner); it is important to remember that dinner does not have to be the largest meal.
  • The bulk of food consumption should consist of healthy foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk products.
  • Incorporate lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts (with emphasis on beans and nuts) into a healthy diet
  • Choose foods that are low in saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt (sodium), and added sugars; look at the labels because the first listed items on the labels comprise the highest concentrations of ingredients.
